Ashton Kutcher just sold his sleek Hollywood Hills bachelor pad for $9,925,000!
The ‘Two and a Half Men” actor bought the sleek hills pad two years ago, paying $8.455 million. In May 2014, it was rumored that he was quietly shopping it for $12,000,000.
In 2012, he rented the pad for a rumored $50,000 a month for a couple months before officially making it his. At the time that he bought, he was recently separated from now-ex-wife Demi Moore and needed a new place to call home. Shortly after moving into his bachelor pad, Kutcher stepped out with former ‘That ’70s Show” co-star Mila Kunis. Two years later, the duo are engaged and expecting their first child – a girl!
With all those life changes, Kutcher’s spectacular bachelor pad doesn’t exactly scream “family home.” It was rumored that Mila wanted to bring up baby in a more family-friendly home, and those rumors were confirmed when the duo snapped up a very family-friendly place in Beverly Hills for about $10,000,000.
With a new family home and a baby due any minute, it was time for Kutcher to part with his former party pad. In the same vein, Mila just listed her single-girl spread nearby, asking $3,995,000.
With their bachelor and bachelorette pad sell-offs in full swing, Kutcher’s glassy house had to go. The three-story home overlooks Lake Hollywood with fully retractable walls of glass. The floating dining room area opens to stunning views. The home also has a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen, private screening room, bar area and gym/massage room. The striking master suite boasts ample use of glass and wood, magnificent views and a spa-like master bath. A variety of outdoor spaces include enclosed gardens, outdoor rooms, infinity pool, cantilevered decks and an open sky terrace.
Fun Fact: Justin Bieber, who recently sold his Calabasas home to Khloe Kardashian, was very, very interested in purchasing the home in 2011, but Ashton swooped in and bought it out from under him. The buyer remains unknown, but with Bieber’s current issues with his neighbors, this could have been a good buy for the young bad boy.
