Looks like Channing Tatum and his lovely wife, Jenna Dewan, are trying to Step Up their real estate game. The “it” couple, who starred together in the popular high school dance flick, have decided to put on their dancing shoes and shimmy on over to Beverly Hills, CA, where they just purchased a six-bed, six-bath home for $6 million in the highly coveted 90210 ZIP code.
Unfortunately, Brandon and Brenda Walsh no longer live nearby. But the Hamptons-style country estate, which features an acre of land dotted with oak trees, is located next door to One Direction singer Harry Styles’ $4 million bachelor pad, which he just purchased last year. Let’s just say the talent shows at the annual neighborhood barbecue will be off the hook.
The private and serene gated home, which features double-height ceilings and spacious rooms, has a master suite fit for a king and queen, as well as a gourmet country kitchen, formal living and dining rooms, and a family room. The family will clearly put that to use, seeing as they have a precious baby daughter named Everly. Plus, the latest news from the celeb rumor mill is that the couple will be announcing baby number two any day now.
Patios and verandas are attached to almost every room, and there’s a backyard complete with a sparkling pool, spa, and gardens described in the real estate listing as “mature.” (Who doesn’t love a mature garden?)
Built in 1950, the Hollywood hot couple’s new home features a guest house with its own separate entrance and two guest suites, in case Channing’s 21 Jump Street co-star Jonah Hill decides to come over for a slumber party.
There’s a bonus room as well, which can be used as a media room, gym, or even a second master — but I think we all know this space should be converted into a dance studio so the rest of the Magic Mike crew can join Channing’s dance parties when Magic Mike XXL hits theaters this summer.
One more reason the couple has to celebrate? Channing will walk the red carpet at the Academy Awards as a nominee for his role in Foxcatcher as a wrestler whose coach, played by Steve Carell, is a psychopathic millionaire.
This new property isn’t the only home the Tatum troop owns in La-La Land. They also have a three-bed, three-bath spread in Laurel Canyon. But alas, it’s no Beverly Hills.
