The King Slept Here: Elvis And Priscilla’s Honeymoon Hideaway Is For Sale

Forget the “Heartbreak Hotel.” Buy this mod masterpiece and you can really live like The King of Rock and Roll.

Put down your peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwich for a moment and consider your commitment to Elvis Presley fandom. If you truly want to experience life like The King and his ladylove, Priscilla, now’s your chance: The 1967 Elvis and Priscilla honeymoon hideaway in the desert oasis of Palm Springs, CA, is for sale. Called the “Home of Tomorrow,” the highly coveted Mid-Century Modern house was designed by renowned architect William Krisel, and it’s listed for $6.93 million.

Elvis-obsessed fans have long had “Burning Love” for the Home of Tomorrow. Built in 1962, the modern beauty overlooks the San Jacinto Mountains and Coachella Valley. With extensive use of glass and custom stonework throughout the 4,962-square-foot home, the classic California indoor/outdoor aesthetic is carried throughout its four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, this house gives residents an ideal level of privacy along with the luxury amenities fit for The King and his wife: a swimming pool, tennis court, lush gardens, and spacious grassy areas. The three-story home also served as the site for multiple high-profile Playboy photo shoots, as well as two Elvis films.

This isn’t the first Elvis-related property to hit the market in recent years: Back in 2012, Elvis and Priscilla’s former Beverly Hills, CA, estate was listed for $12.995 million.

While the price of the Home of Tomorrow is certainly steep at $6.93 million, it was recently reduced from $8.5 million. Clearly, that discount should have you “All Shook Up.”
