Mariah Carey Sells Marital Mansion for $9 Million

The Bel Air manse (originally listed at nearly $13 million) finally sells after a year on the market.

Mariah Carey’s “Hero” has come along and purchased the palatial Bel Air mansion she shared with estranged husband Nick Cannon and their two children.

It turns out Mariah’s hero(es) are Dr. Rudy Rezzadeh, a cardiologist, and his dentist wife Niki — because they’re the new owners of this six-bed, nine-bath spread, previously owned by Farrah Fawcett, which has been on the market for over a year. The couple, who currently live in New Jersey, are relocating to the Los Angeles area.

Originally listed for $12.995 million, the home languished market for nearly a year. The Rezzadehs were able to snag the private estate for $9 million.

“It has been an honor to find just the right buyers for this unique Hollywood estate,” says agent Ardavan Mofid of Coldwell Banker who represented the Rezzadahs in the sale.

“Each room has a story to it. Each celebrity, from Farrah Fawcett to Mariah Carey, has added a special touch to this mansion — Farrah had her mirrored dressing and make-up room, while Mariah had her signature Moroccan room.”

The sprawling home, which, according to the listing, measures 13,000 square feet (maybe Mimi was hoping for $1,000 per square foot?), also boasts a movie theater, basketball court, and gym, if the new owners ever feel like shooting hoops between medical appointments.

“I worked with the buyers for over a year and a half to find their dream home,” Mofid confides. “They fell in love with the property as soon as I showed it to them. When they walked in they said, ‘That’s it! Let’s work it out!'”

Located in one of Bel Air’s most coveted communities (and since it’s Bel Air, that’s saying a lot) the three-acre property offers views of the canyons, city, and surrounding mountains. Built in 2006, the property also features a pool, putting green, and enough parking for 20 cars. And let’s not forget that dreamy bedroom ceiling with the hand-printed cloud mural.

Nick, who seems to be dealing with the divorce by getting new tattoos, and Mariah purchased the home in 2009 for $6.975 million and listed it for nearly $13 million in February of last year when they not-so-quietly split. Turns out their marriage wasn’t a “Fantasy” after all.

Either way, Mariah will be getting out of Dodge (or in this case, Los Angeles) soon when she heads to Vegas for her new two-year residency at Caesars Palace — where she promises to sing all 18 of her No. 1 hits in the career retrospective showcase.
