Billionaire Tom Gores, owner of the NBA’s Detroit Pistons and founder of global private equity firm Platinum Equity, has just listed his stunning Mulholland Drive estate in Beverly Hills for $10, 750,000.
The Israeli-born billionaire graduated from Michigan State and launched an ultra-successful private equity firm in 1995, acquiring non-core divisions of various Fortune 1000 companies. In 2011, Forbes recognized Platinum Equity as one of the largest and fastest-growing private companies in America, ranking it #23 on its 2011 list of Largest Private Companies. In early 2011, Gores became the new owner of the NBA Detroit Pistons and Palace Sports Entertainment – a Michigan sports and entertainment company. Most recently, Gores landed on Forbes’ 2012 List of World’s Billionaires valued at a net worth of $2.5 billion.
