N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAnaheim Hills Montessori School is a Great foundation for little kids and an amazing place for kids to start with their first year learning. Our son has been attending Anaheim Hills Montessori school for 2 years. My husband and I both work and wanted to find a place where our son would be comfortable, learn, socialize, and be cared for while we could not be with them. That is what we have found in Anaheim Hills Montessori. Over the years we've experienced wonderful Christmas programs, elaborate art projects, creative open house themes, Halloween Trick O treats, Thanks giving Party, Field Trips, Parents Day Event and the ultimate success of seeing our child thrive. The class environments are clean, playful and instructional, and the outdoor play area is safe for children to run around, Swings and slide and climb. We LOVE everything about Anaheim hills Montessori!!! The teachers are very nice, welcoming, nurturing and kids always learn somethong new on daily basis. Thanks alot to Ms. Harshini, Ms. Ridima, Ms. Ruksana, Ms. Maggie and other staff members of Anaheim Hills Montessori school..Great teachersParent Review4mo ago - Vineyard Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a concerned parent with a student enrolled at Vineyard Academy, I find myself grappling with serious doubts about the school's credibility. Despite its small and intimate setting, being a private institution means Vineyard Academy operates without adherence to any state-mandated academic standards in California. This absence of oversight translates to a lack of approved curriculum, standardized testing, or established promotion criteria, leaving parents like myself with no mandated academic reporting data to gauge our children's progress. Moreover, Vineyard Academy lacks accreditation from reputable commissions such as WASC or CAIS, leaving it free to operate without external validation of its educational standards. While the school's Christian foundation integrates faith into its academic program admirably, the stark reality is that its middle school curriculum falls significantly below the rigorous standards set by public institutions like BUSD. Students are not adequately challenged, and the coursework remains rudimentary at best.On the administrative front, there are glaring concerns regarding faculty dedication to student achievement and the school's partnership with parents. The lone parent orientation night at the start of the academic year is disappointingly lacking in structure and fails to address pertinent agenda items, serving more as a casual meet-and-greet session. Regrettably, Vineyard Academy offers no regular opportunities for parents to engage with teachers to discuss their child's progress, leaving proactive parental involvement as the only means to prevent students from slipping through the cracks.Beyond these systemic issues lie more subjective but nonetheless concerning observations. A palpable sense of unprofessionalism pervades some faculty interactions within the middle school program, with students often publicly reprimanded for matters that should be handled discreetly. Additionally, the school's sports program is notably underdeveloped and lacks the resources necessary to provide meaningful athletic opportunities for students. Furthermore, the glaring absence of cultural diversity within the student body underscores a broader lack of inclusivity and awareness. In conclusion, while Vineyard Academy may have admirable intentions, its execution falls short in numerous critical areas. As a result, I have made the difficult decision to withdraw my child from the school at the end of the academic year.Parent Review1mo ago - Hillsborough Private School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, I consider myself fortunate to have had my child attend Hillsborough Private School for the past three years. I can honestly say that the overall experience has been quite gratifying. Hillsborough Private School is distinguished as a reputable educational institution, known for providing a strong academic foundation in a supportive community. While there are areas that could be improved, particularly in terms of extracurricular options, diversity, and affordability, it still stands as a commendable choice for my child's education. I wholeheartedly recommend this institution to parents seeking a challenging academic curriculum and a nurturing community for their children.Other Review3mo ago - Hephatha Lutheran School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe enrolled my child here in 1st grade. We completed kindergarten public school and thought maybe private school would be better and have a better curriculum. I have to say, I am extremely disappointed. As a 7-year-old, my child has a ridiculous amount of homework (including homework given on national holidays!). Not sure if it’s due to the new common core standards that the school adopted (this was another reason we wanted to get away from public school), but it seems like I’m having to teach them their homework everyday…. Extremely disappointed in the adoption of common core standards and new curriculum. Parents were not even notified of the new curriculum roll-out, which is shocking for a private school. No other private school in the area has adopted common core standards. Not to mention the school asks for money for everything and trust me, the parents are very generous, but beginning to wonder where all our money is going. And if your child needs extra help with resource specialist during the school day, you have to pay extra money on top of regular tuition! We also don’t get very opportunities to volunteer inside the classroom which is completely opposite of our experience at public school and parents were in the class multiple times a week. Will likely be leaving as we have been very disappointed.Parent Review2mo ago - Independence Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is a school that promises to help children with a tutor and they do not, very disappointed in this school. and the administrator very bad attitude when trying to solve a problem, my son's teacher yelled at him until he calmed down. but instead of helping to advance that he was going for 6 years, his best idea is to leave it again in the same year. I would not recommend this school. Unfortunately, we were looking for the package that compmetp Christian teaching and a high academic level with resources. they don't have them.Parent Review1y ago - Trinity Lutheran Christian
