Adam Levine, the hunky singer of Maroon 5 and star of NBC’s The Voice, is ditching the one-bed, two-bath loft he bought with wife Behati Prinsloo. The loft for sale in New York, NY, sits in luxe SoHo, with a price tag of $5.5 million. But before you say, “Adam Levine lives in a one-bedroom just like me,” hold that thought: This one-bedroom loft is a whopping 2,800 square feet. Adam and Behati bought it back in 2014 for $4.5 million. (We’re just guessing you can’t fit a pool table in your living room!) But we’re also guessing that when they bought the place, the couple weren’t yet planning for a baby on the way.
Tucked on a cobblestone SoHo street, the property is located in an iconic cast-iron building that dates to the early 1900s. Guests are whisked by elevator directly to the loft, with its six original columns, restored exposed brick walls, 13-foot ceilings, and oversized windows with an amazing view of Manhattan. (Do you think the rest of The Voice crew like Shakira and Blake Shelton ever came over to hang out?) In the kitchen, stainless steel appliances and black granite countertops offer a look of urban sophistication. The master bedroom includes a walk-in closet, where Behati could hang up those Angel wings. The en-suite bathroom has windows, a deep soaking Jacuzzi tub, and a walk-in shower.
Now the couple are cruising for larger digs since they’ve got a baby on the way. They’ve even been spotted browsing real estate in Pacific Palisades, CA, in their Porsche. (How perfect.) But even if they don’t settle on a new pad before Behati gives birth to “Maroon 6,” they will by no means be homeless: Adam also owns a home in Beverly Hills, CA, which he bought back in 2012 for $4.83 million.
