Ashley Olsen In Line To Buy New York Condo For $7.3 Million

It’s a long way from “Full House” to top-of-the-line Manhattan real estate, but the actress-turned-fashion-designer has forged the path.

From their start as tiny tyke Michelle Tanner on Full House to their fashion lines The Row and Elizabeth and James, twins Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen have stuck together. And while they’ll always be frequent fixtures in the style pages as a pair, each Olsen twin has also come into her own. For Mary-Kate, that’s getting married to French banker Olivier Sarkozy. But for Ashley, it’s being under contract to purchase a piece of New York, NY, real estate: a luxurious two-bed, two-and-a-half-bath condo in downtown Manhattan that is expected to cost $7.3 million, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The historic building, located in the stylish Greenwich Village neighborhood, is a Beaux Arts beauty built in 1896. Spread out over an entire floor, the 3,022-square-foot unit welcomes guests through a private elevator entry. Towering 11-foot ceilings are complemented by chevron-patterned walnut flooring and restoration hand-blown glass doors from France. A wood-burning fireplace and white oak interior doors provide a cozy, comfortable atmosphere.

Behind steel-and-glass doors, the kitchen features chef-quality appliances, beautiful tailor-made cabinetry, marble countertops, and rich Spanish crackle-glazed subway tile. But our favorite part of the home is the luxurious master bath, where Calacatta marble walls and double washstand countertops contrast intricate Bardiglio mosaic flooring. A  free-standing Lefroy Brooks soaking tub and rain shower complete the bathroom’s spa-like ambiance. Even guests will enjoy luxury while in the second bath — the powder room features hand-chiseled Moroccan tile flooring and a custom vanity with reclaimed marble from the Museum of Modern Art. Fancy!

Ashley has had a bustling real estate portfolio for quite some time: When she and sister Mary-Kate headed to New York University in 2004, the duo bought a penthouse in the West Village for $7.4 million. However, they sold it (and may have never even moved in) in 2010 for $7.7 million, according to Curbed. In 2010, Ashley took a hit on a Los Angeles, CA, home, a three-bedroom property near Hancock Park that she bought back in 2007 for $1.575 million, Variety reported. And while Ashley was recently spotted house-hunting in the Hamptons, according to reports, we’re guessing the Greenwich Village property will be her home base for a long time.
