Beyonce and Jay-Z Buy Hamptons Mansion For $26M

They've got 99 Problems, but real estate isn't one of them.

Ring the Alarm, because Bey and Jay are heading to the Hamptons. Beyonce and Jay-Z just dropped $26 million on a seven-bed, seven-and-a-half bath estate in the luxe beachside community of East Hampton, NY, and it’s exactly the level of opulence that you’d imagine for the Carter’s.

Measuring 12,000 square feet, the estate is located on an elevated two-acre site with 203-feet of direct water space on Georgica Pond. But if that’s not enough space for ya, it’s also adjacent to a 17-acre meadow preserve, where we’re guessing Beyonce will pose for photos while holding her new babies Sir and Rumi while wearing a flower crown.

The 100-year-old structure, designed by noted architect Stanford White,  was meticulously renovated and enlarged to combine old world craftsmanship with state-of-the-art modern amenities. And here’s a fun tidbit: According to the listing, the current owner carefully rotated the original house 90 degrees so the historic triple-height studio room (which faced north) is now a 30-feet high living room looking west over the pond. That probably cost a pretty penny!

Custom design and hand-milled woodwork are visible throughout the house, while bathrooms are sculpted with marble selected in Verona, Italy. The patina-matched tubs, counters, and tiles were even carved from single blocks of stone by master European craftsmen! You didn’t think Yonce went to Home Depot like a normal, did you?

The property also includes a detached, 1800-square-foot guest cottage, because Beyonce’s gotta have a place for former Destiny’s Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland to stay. The guest cottage includes a living room, full kitchen, two bedrooms, and bath.

The dynamic duo of Bey and Jay certainly have scored some top-of-the-line real estate in the past. Throughout the years, they’ve rented properties in the Hamptons multiple times. Back in August, they bought a sprawling Los Angeles, CA compound for a whopping $88 million. They also own smaller properties in New Orleans, LA and in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood. Earlier this summer, they were renting out a $54 million estate in the luxe beachside community of Malibu, CA
