It’s been a tumultuous couple of years for former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen. There was the downfall of his CBS sitcom, followed by the failure of his follow-up, Anger Management, and his revelation that he had been diagnosed with HIV. But despite the upheaval in his personal and professional life, Charlie’s making the most of it. And here’s a good boost: The actor just sold a piece of Beverly Hills, CA, real estate for $5.415 million!
Charlie purchased the home for his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, and the couple’s two sons back in 2012. Charlie bought the house, located in the coveted Mulholland Estates, for $4.8 million from Tom Gores, one of the owners of the NBA’s Detroit Pistons. (Christina Aguilera also purchased a Spanish-style property in the Estates from the mega-mogul.)
Charlie’s stunning, Spanish-style home is a five-bed, six-bath estate that was built in 1991. Measuring 6,625 square feet, the warm and inviting property is tucked behind gates, which is perfect for keeping out the prying eyes of the paparazzi. Guests are greeted by a welcoming courtyard with fountain, surrounded by lush, mature foliage. Inside, a split-level floor plan allows for comfortable, family-friendly living, spread out over the five bedrooms and six baths. The estate also features a movie theater, office, family room, and fully equipped kitchen with a large center island. The outdoor space boasts a grassy backyard and swimming pool with spa alongside a fire pit and several entertaining areas.
The home wasn’t Charlie’s only real estate in superchic Beverly Hills, however. In December 2015, he sold one home at a loss. He’d purchased the property from Orion Pictures co-founder Mike Medavoy for $7 million but sold it for $6.6 million. Naturally, Charlie has yet another Beverly Hills home, which he bought back in 2006 for $7.2 million. And in his new role as spokesman for a line of Swedish condoms, it doesn’t seem as though he’ll be fading from the spotlight anytime soon.
