Chris Rock Is Selling His Dramatic Brooklyn Carriage House

The comedian is saying goodbye to the carriage house he’s owned since 1996.

Comedian Chris Rock is ready to leave behind one of the purchases he made in his Saturday Night Live days — a swanky, three-story carriage house in New York, NY’s posh and historic Clinton Hill neighborhood. Built in 1901, the Brooklyn home for sale has a price tag of $3.85 million.

With a flexible layout, the three-bed, two-and-a-half-bath 3,700-square-foot carriage house boasts a massive master suite complete with skylights, sliding barn doors with stained-glass windows, and a large walk-in closet. A loftlike living and dining space features gorgeous exposed brick, wood beams, 12-foot ceilings, and dark hardwood floors.

The patio has a built-in barbecue, and the rooftop terrace is a personal urban oasis. The home also includes a two-car garage. (Private, dedicated parking is the ultimate city luxury!)

Chris bought the property back in the ’90s for just $370,000. His other longtime home is in New Jersey; he purchased that one in 2001 for $3 million.
