Dita Von Teese has a new home. The burlesque dancer, model, and costume designer just snapped up a 3,200-square-foot classic Tudor-style home in Los Angeles for $2.83 million.
Built in 1927, the home has a timeless quality — just like its new owner. Guests enter through a round castle turret and are greeted by wood-beamed cathedral ceilings. Gothic arches, crown moldings, and ceiling medallions really play up that whole “medieval manor” aesthetic. (Would you expect any less from a lady formerly married to Marilyn Manson?)
The master suite features a private terrace and stunning updated bathroom, while the family room is cozied up by a fireplace that’s complemented by slate and hardwood flooring.
Outdoors, a bucolic forest full of pine and California oak trees surrounds lush gardens in a scene straight out of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. A large, intimate pool is tucked into the backyard, and the detached pool house boasts a half bath and dry sauna.
Despite her new home and vintage-glam reputation, Von Teese doesn’t seem to have gone totally La-La Land: She still dyes her hair herself with drugstore hair color.
