Actor Edward Norton Buys $11.8M Malibu Colony Architectural Masterpiece

Norton’s new house is almost as famous as its owner.

‘Fight Club’ star, Edward Norton, just dropped some serious dough on an incredible home. Norton paid $11.8 million for famed architect John Lautner’s ‘Stevens’ House.’ Built in 1968, the home is an architectural masterpiece on the beach in the famed Malibu Colony.

This striking architectural home is situated on 37 feet of sandy beach, with a large beach deck, grassy yard and swimming pool. Built of wood and concrete, Lautner created the five-bedroom, five bathroom, 3,366 square foot structure to resemble waves. After undergoing a significant restoration that bridges the past to the present, this California State Cultural Landmark is a one of a kind treasure that has become a symbol of Lautner’s work and the Malibu coastline.

Malibu Colony is a red-hot second-home destination for the rich and famous, due to its primo coastline location and unprecedented privacy. Set behind guarded gates, the Colony is the perfect place for headliners like Norton to get some real R&R. Norton knows the ins-and-outs of Malibu Colony already, as he already owns a smaller home at Big Rock Beach that he bought for $2.72M in 2008. Across town he owns in the heart of LA, and on the East Coast, he owns a luxe Manhattan penthouse.
