Eva Longoria Trades the Hollywood Hills for a $14.5M Beverly Hills Estate

There's no trace of a Desperate Housewife here.

Eva Longoria is pulling the ol’ switcheroo. The former Desperate Housewives star just dropped $13.5 milllion on a sprawling eight-bed, eleven-bath home in everyone’s dream neighborhood of Beverly Hills. But wait, there’s more! Longoria also listed her current home, a compound off the Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills, for $14 million. Just pocket change, right?

Measuring over 11,000 square feet, Longoria’s new sprawling contemporary-style home is tucked behind gates and perched atop a long driveway. Built in 1996 but freshly remodeled, the home features soaring ceilings, steel custom doors, and oversized windows that contrast with the rich oak flooring. Downstairs, there’s both formal and informal family rooms that are great for any busy family, while a third private family room upstairs offers even more space. A chef’s kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances, as well as a separate enclosed staff kitchen and prep area. A comfortable breakfast room with a cozy fireplace opens out to the gardens and wine storage/tasting room.

A private office area offers a great spot to work from home, with its own deck for taking a breather during the day. The luxurious master suite has its own private den and bar area, as well as large walk-in closets and his-and-her baths. And with stunning views of Beverly Hills, it’s safe to say Eva will never want to get out of bed!

The home also has an oversized guest suite, and a private wine with two staff room. Step outside the steel and glass sliding doors to the pool and baja area, an ideal entertainment area with every amenity you could desire. An outdoor kitchen is the prospect spot for a BBQ, while the pool house offers a spot for visiting guests. There’s also a fresh tennis court, in case Eva feels like taking on her former Housewives costars in a game or two. And with gorgeous canyon views, it’s safe to say no houseguest would ever want to leave.

As for the home Eva just put on the market, that one is no slouch either: Described as a “one-of-a-kind private celebrity compound,” the seven-bed, nine-bath estate in the Hollywood Hills is a beautiful property located on 2.75 acres, dotted with leafy trees and stone-paved walking paths with 180-degree views of the city lights and mountains. Built in 2004, compound is composed of two separate houses: a three-bed, three-bath European villa, and a four-bed, four-bath country house. There’s also a small stone cottage ideal for wine storage, or to serve as a tasting room. There’s also two small studios off the stone pathways, with another proposal for an additional space on the property currently pending.

Eva has quite the bustling real estate portfolio: She owns a home in the tony beach enclave of Malibu, CA, as well as a property in her hometown of San Antonio, TX. She previously owned another Hollywood Hills home, but listed it in 2016.
