Ginnifer Goodwin Lists Hollywood Hills Home For $1.499 Million

You’ve heard of the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” But what about the sisterhood of the Hollywood Hills house?

Ginnifer Goodwin, known for her roles on shows like NBC’s Once Upon a Time, has listed her Whitley Heights Spanish villa for $1.499 million. But Ginnifer was just the latest starlet to list this Hollywood Hills, CA, home for sale, which has been passed between Hollywood headliners quicker than a glass of champagne. Ginnifer bought the house from Cougar Town funny gal Busy Philipps for $1.075 million in 2008. Just a few years before in 2005, Busy bought the property for $1.349 million from The O.C. actress Rachel Bilson. And before her, the house belonged to raven-haired actress Rose McGowan, who bought it in 2001 for $762,500. (Rose, by the way, ended up staying in the neighborhood, buying a Hollywood Hills home in 2011.)

The 2,204-square-foot, three-bed, three-bath villa was built in 1923 and is known as the Theodore Wright Jr. House. Tucked behind gates for ultimate privacy, the elegant yet understated home (which you may recognize from Ginnifer’s 2013 spread in Elle) features a dramatic entrance. A step-down living room includes French doors and windows, built-in bookcases, and a wood-burning fireplace. Any amateur chef would love to cook in the warm and welcoming kitchen, which features top-of-the-line appliances such as a Wolf range and Miele dishwasher, and Waterworks fixtures. The kitchen opens to a den and breakfast area, a cozy spot to gather in the morning.

The master suite upstairs has custom built-ins and a beautifully tiled bathroom with a claw-foot tub and steam shower. French doors open to a spacious deck that runs the length of the house, while a lounge area provides the perfect spot to decamp on the daybed and enjoy a sunny view of the Hollywood sign and the bright lights of Los Angeles, CA. The professionally landscaped yard combines lush, natural beauty with multiple entertaining areas, as well as a built-in bench, fire pit, and extensive outdoor lighting.

While Ginnifer and her husband/co-star, Josh Dallas, spend a significant amount of time filming their show in Vancouver, Canada, back in July 2015 they purchased a  home in Encino, CA, for $3.45 million. We’re guessing that the couple’s burgeoning family had something to do with the move to the family-friendly burb; in June, they welcomed their second child, a boy named Hugo.
