Jane Fonda and Richard Perry Buy in Beverly Hills

Entertainment industry power couple Jane Fonda and Richard Perry have just purchased a gorgeous new home in Beverly Hills for $7.3 million. According to property records and the Los Angeles Times, the duo closed on the four-bedroom, six-and-a-half bath, 7,513-square-foot estate on June 29, 2012. The Trousdale Estates property was also the longtime home of the late Emmy-winning TV director John Rich.

The estate was off-the-market for over 44 years, and when it finally became available, Fonda and Perry scooped it up.  The modern home features an entry  with a Neoporte front door, high ceilings, and glass elevator that leads to a spacious gallery and step down post-and-beam living room with vaulted ceilings and a stacked stone fireplace.  Fonda supports environmental causes, so it’s no surprise her new home comes complete with “green” features, including photo voltaic panels connected to the Edison grid, a solar heated pool, ventless fireplaces fueled by eco-friendly bio-ethanol, thermal glass, double-glazed UV windows with motorized room-darkening shades and bamboo floors.

An expansive chef’s kitchen features verde quartz countertops and a butler’s pantry.  A his-and-hers master bath features jewel-like tiles, a steam shower, soaking tub, radiant heated porcelain floors and large walk-in closets. A media/game room features a full bar and cork floors. Outside, a grassy Zen-like side yard features a fireplace and fountain overlooking canyon and ocean views.

Aside from their brand new purchase, Fonda and Perry also recently sold their traditional Hollywood Hills West home for $8.5 million.
