John Krasinski And Emily Blunt List Their Brooklyn Townhouse for $8M

The star couple is bidding farewell to one of Brooklyn's priciest neighborhoods.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt may be on the top of their acting game, but the power couple could certainly make a go for it as real estate investors. The duo just listed their seven-bed, three-and-a-half bath home in Brooklyn, NY‘s popular Park Slope neighborhood for $8 million, and if they sell it at their asking price, it’ll prove to be quite the smart investment: they just bought the home for $6 million in January of 2016. Talk about a quick million or two! Unfortunately, Krasinski told the Wall Street Journal that since the family travels so much, they have barely been able to use the home. Ah, the life of a mega-star!

Measuring 5200-square-feet, the impeccably restored four-story limestone townhouse is a historic masterpiece in the Park Slope Historic District. Originally built in 1909 in the French Renaissance Revival style, the home welcomes guests with a glass entry, surrounded by crown moldings and millwork. In the front parlor, bay windows stream sun into the bright estate. Leaded stain glass windows and built-in bookshelves wrap around a wood burning fireplace in the middle parlor, which continues into the formal paneled dining room complete with a gas fireplace, stain glass windows, built-in glass cabinets, and inlaid floors. In the chef’s kitchen, floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors allow plenty of light in, while a skylight that runs the length of the room also maintains the warm atmosphere. A long kitchen island with a large Rohl porcelain sink provides the perfect place for gathering with family and friends for a casual bite.

Walk up the grand stairway to the master suite’s floor, where northern light cascades in through the bay window in the bedroom. The master bath maintains its historic integrity with light wells and a stained glass skylight, while the back den is a cozy spot with a gas fireplace and second story terrace. On the fourth floor, there are four bedrooms and a bathroom. On the garden level, a front guest suite and a spacious family room provide excellent space for friends or visiting family members. The home also features a rare treat for New York City: a spacious yard paved with bluestone and trimmed with a cedar fence that provides plenty of privacy.

The Bluntsinski’s certainly know their way around a real estate deal. Back in July of 2016, they sold their architectural beauty of a home in West Hollywood, CA to supermodel-in-training/reality star Kendall Jenner for $6.5 million. It was originally listed at $8 million, so it’s safe to say the couple were willing to haggle with the young member of the Kardashian krew. They’ve owned in several other spots throughout Los Angeles, CA, as well as a weekend home in the tropical oasis Ojai, CA.
