Kelsey Grammer Sells His Malibu Home For $12.94 Million

Dr. Frasier Crane may be a Seattle man, but Kelsey Grammer hung his hat in Malibu.

Frasier star Kelsey Grammer has sold his four-bed, six-bath home for sale in Malibu, CA, and the profit is certainly a pretty penny. Grammer purchased the 6,645-square-foot home back in 1998 for $4 million and just sold it for $12.94 million. Ka-ching! That’ll buy a lot of “tossed salad and scrambled eggs.”

Built in 1949, Grammer’s estate is located in the prestigious Serra Retreat. With almost 5 acres of bucolic California property, the home features towering trees, flowering gardens, and a Monet lily pond with an 18th-century stone temple. It’s not just any lily pond, it’s a Monet lily pond. There are also a lighted tennis court and large private pool.

The property also features 18th- and 19th-century fountains, benches, and fireplaces throughout. A gourmet kitchen designed by Wolfgang Puck is perfect for any aspiring chef, while the large master suite has a stunning view of the ocean, The home also features a library, a dressage riding ring and nine-stall barn, and a Crestron-engineered home theater with a large projection screen, where we assume Kelsey watched Frasier reruns over and over while polishing his Emmy Awards and mouthing “you’re so beautiful” to himself on the TV screen.

There’s also a detached guesthouse, which is perfect for when David Hyde Pierce pops over to resume his character as the pesky brother, Niles. The guesthouse includes a large kitchen, sitting room, several bedrooms, a five-car garage, and a private patio with a rooftop deck. So basically, it’s your dream house, located within another dream property.

Kelsey has been nesting with his new wife, Kayte Walsh, and their daughter, Faith, in their new Beverly Hills home, but after just eight months, they have put it back on the market. The frequent transactions are nothing new to Grammer, who finally sold the Beaver Creek vacation home he shared with his ex-wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille, for $6.6 million. He also ditched his $18 million mansion in the ritzy Holmby Hills back in 2012. It’s hard to keep track of all your mansions when you’ve got so many!
