Kyle Richards And Mauricio Umansky Drop $8.2M On Encino Home

Is one of the most famous Real Housewives saying goodbye to Beverly Hills?

Forget Beverly Hills. How does “Real Housewives of Encino” sound to you? Kyle Richards, the silken-haired queen bee who stars on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and her husband, real estate tycoon Mauricio Umansky, just dropped $8.25 million on a sprawling seven-bed, eight-bath estate. But this 10,600-square-foot property definitely isn’t in the Bravo-lebrity’s hometown; it’s in the sun-drenched San Fernando Valley suburb of Encino.  Heavens, what would Lisa Vanderpump think?

The iconic home is known as the Smokey Robinson Estate, after the iconic Motown crooner. Originally built in 1912 but fully renovated and expanded, the Colonial-style home embraces Smokey’s original style. Tucked behind private gates at the end of the deep circular drive that frames a topiary garden, the home is a welcoming spot for any family. Eight fireplaces are placed throughout the home, including a few in the seven bedrooms, three of which are en suite adjacent to the master suite. A state-of-the-art kitchen would please any aspiring chef (or Kyle’s sister Kim, in case she wants to come over and make that famous hand-stirred chicken salad of hers) while a home theater, library, and multiple living spaces provide every amenity one could desire. An 800-square-foot balcony overlooks the entire property from the expansive master suite, providing a stunning view of the rolling grass, new swimming pool, picnic gazebo, and babbling creek. A 1600-square-foot guest house provides plenty of space for overnight guests, which is good because we all know things get a little rowdy at Kyle and Mauricio’s White Parties!

With Mauricio being one of the top realtors in California, (he’s sold homes to everyone from Sofia Vergara to DJ Khaled) the couple naturally owns a variety of other properties. For the last couple years, they’ve owned a condo in Encino, a peaceful townhouse in La Quinta, and their family home in Bel Air, which you probably recognize from all its appearances on Bravo. The rest of the cast are no slouches in the real estate department either; Kyle’s former frenemies Yolanda Hadid and Camille Grammer own some seriously stylish estates as well.
