Poppy Montgomery Buys New Home For $3.6 Million After Losing $250K On Former Home

Actress Poppy Montgomery has just dropped $3.6 million on a brand new home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles!

The purchase comes on the heels of a $250,000 loss on the sale of her former home in Pacific Palisades, which she sold on April 16, 2013 for $2,881,500. She originally paid $3,133,530 for the home in January 2005.

Montgomery lost some real money on the sale of her former home before she swooped up a new, even more expensive home, but it’s not likely that she’s hurting for funds. The Australian-born actress is best known for playing FBI agent Samantha Spade on the CBS drama Without a Trace from 2002 to 2009 and for her latest role as Det. Carrie Wells on the CBS police drama Unforgettable

Montgomery gave birth to a baby girl named Violet in April 2013, just days after she sold her Pacific Palisades home.

With a new baby joining her family, Montgomery has put the loss behind her and has moved on to a stunning 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 3,089 square foot Spanish-style hacienda with mesmerizing views of the private vineyard and hills beyond.

Inside, a dramatic and glamorously chic great room with vaulted beamed ceilings and a large fireplace is the heart of the home. The adjacent kitchen has state-of-the-art appliances and a large center island. Down the hall, two bedrooms and a library and an office complete the main floor. Upstairs, the private master has a fireplace, tree top views and a spa-like bath.

Outside, the home has partially-covered verandas, a lap pool and terraced lawns.

Property records show the deal was finalized on October 31, 2013. Mary Lu Tuthill of Coldwell Banker-Brentwood represented the sellers and Clifford Rowe of Teles Properties, Inc was Montgomery’s agent.
