One of Hollywood’s legendary stars is saying goodbye to a long-term investment property. Robert Duvall, known for iconic roles like Corleone family consigliere Tom Hagen in The Godfather opposite Marlon Brando and Diane Keaton and everyone’s favorite Army Lieutenant with a fondness for surfing in Apocalypse Now, has just sold his West Hollywood Home for $1.6 million. The two-bed, three-bath home wasn’t Duvall’s main residence (he owns a 362-acre farm in The Plains, Virginia) but he did own it for almost ten years, which is basically a century in Hollywood real estate time!
Measuring 1065 square feet, this charming, fully-renovated West Hollywood beauty, which was built in 1924, is located on a prime street in the Norma Triangle. Tucked behind gates and hedges for ultimate privacy, the Spanish-style home features a front courtyard that welcomes guests. Inside, hardwood floors, high ceilings, and an open floor plan really expand the space, while bright sunlight streams in through the windows. French doors lead into the master bedroom, which opens out to the grassy backyard. A detached guest unit could function as a third bedroom, or easily works as a gym or studio.
Duvall has also owned another property just a couple doors down since 2005. He snagged this home back in 2008 for $1.125 million, which means he almost scored almoat a $.5 million on this sale. And in Duvall’s most famous movie line, that “smells like victory.”
