Rooney Mara Re-lists Her Los Feliz Oaks Home For $3.45M

Just call her 'The Girl with the Mid-Century Masterpiece.'

It looks like Rooney Mara will be spending more time at her boyfriend Joaquin Phoenix‘s house. The actress, who will be playing the title role of Mary Magdalene opposite Phoenix’s Jesus in an upcoming film, just re-listed her two-bed, two-bath home in the stylish Los Feliz Oaks neighborhood for $3.45 million. Mara bought the home back in 2015, from none other than Big Little Lies villain Alexander Skarsgard for $2.9 million. (Coincidentally, Rooney co-stars with Alexander’s dad, Stellen Skarsgard, in the 2011 film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.) She originally listed it back in May of 2017 for $3.895 million, but is now putting it back on the market with a nice price chop.

Beautifully restored to its full Mid-Century Modern glamour, this architectural gem, which was built in 1963, is tucked away on a cul-de-sac in the Oaks neighborhood of Los Feliz. Measuring 2340 square feet, it’s the epitome of sophisticated modernism. An open floor plan that blends steel, glass, and terrazzo streams in natural light, creating a welcoming vibe that epitomizes southern California style. The living room features a stylish fireplace and lounging area, and continues into the dining area. An open kitchen has a large center island and beautiful pale, seafoam-green cabinetry. In addition to the two bedrooms, there’s an office space, which could easily function as a den. Surrounded by over-sized entertainment decks and hillside garden areas with lush, mature trees, the home features incredible views of the city’s bright lights and the rolling hillsides of Los Angeles
