UPDATE! Taraji P. Henson Relists Her Hollywood Hills Home That Would Make Cookie Proud

Now’s your chance to create your very own real estate “Empire.”

You don’t have to be Cookie Lyon or a NASA mathematician to know that sometimes amazing properties just don’t sell. That’s why Taraji P. Henson, known for the FOX hit series Empire and blockbusters like Hidden Figures co-starring Octavia Spencer, has re-listed her four-bed, five-bath home in the Hollywood Hills for $2.675 million. You see, Taraji originally listed the property back in 2015 for $3.25 million, but nobody snatched it up. So if you’re itching to live a life like stylish Cookie Lyon’s (post-prison, that is), this is the perfect opportunity.

Built in 2009, the unique Hollywood Hills home features Moorish architecture, which is inspired by the North African and Iberian Peninsula region. With three levels, the 4202-square-foot home features exquisite views of downtown Los Angeles. High ceilings and beautiful wood floors complement the impressive floor plan, which has four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Of course, one of the bedrooms has been converted into a dressing room with built-in cabinetry, a salon chair, and a bathroom with a shampoo bowl. After all, Taraji does have to work the red carpet pretty frequently!

A spacious gourmet kitchen has a large preparation island, custom wood cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. There’s also a large pantry and a wine cellar that holds more than 600 bottles. (Of wine. Not cough syrup.)

The home has three fireplaces and Moroccan multicolored chandeliers on the exteriors and balcony areas. A custom media room and office is the perfect spot for any business tycoon, as is the romantic outdoor area with built-in seating and a hot tub overlooking the bright lights of Los Angeles. There’s even an atrium with a Buddha, in case you feel like getting your zen on.

Even though she’s dropping the price of the property, Taraji is still set to make a killing if it sells at its current price. (She bought in back in 2010 for $1.695 million.) Henson may have that same business acumen as Cookie Lyon after all: She also owns a two-bed, two-bath home in Glendale’s Woodbury neighborhood, another property in the Hollywood Hills, and a condo in a stylish high-rise in Chicago. Always working on her side hustle, that one!
