Tyler Perry Lists His Beverly Hills Home For $16.995M

Madea's a house flipper, y'all!

Tyler Perry Presents… his sprawling Beverly Hills mansion for sale! The actor and director, known best for donning a wig and glasses to portray everyone’s favorite elderly rebel, Madea, just listed his ten-bed, eleven-bath home for $16.995 million. Perry bought the home less than six months ago for $14.5 million, which means… Madea’s a house flipper, y’all!

Set atop Mulholland Drive in Beverly Hills, the 17,475-square-foot home is a sprawling modern masterpiece in a celebrity-drenched area. (Everyone from DJ Khaled and Christina Aguilera to Joaquin Phoenix and Jane Fonda have owned homes in the area.) Built in 1992, the home is located on a hilltop amidst four acres of secluded beauty overlooking the canyons and city lights. Guests reach the property via a long driveway that leads into a motor court which fits over 30 cars. Floor-to-ceiling glass-lined walls are complemented by steel beams, while high-sloping angular ceilings and pyramid shaped skylights are perfectly placed. Overlapping stone marble stairs lead up to the second floor, while connecting balconies and plenty of open spaces embrace the indoor/outdoor California vibe. The home has unique features like a koi pond and stream, as well as stunning outdoor areas like the resort-style swimming pool with a rock sculpture, slide, and grotto, and professional-quality tennis courts and an outdoor dining terrace.

Despite his big Beverly Hills purchase last year, it looks like Perry spends significant time back in Atlanta, GA.  Luckily, he’ll make a nice chunk of change if he manages to sell the home anywhere near his asking price. As Madea would say, “Halleleuyurrrr!”
