Ziggy Marley Drops $5.5M On Toluca Lake Mansion

The reggae superstar has an ear for music and an eye for real estate.

Love may be his religion, but real estate is his forte. Ziggy Marley, the eldest son of reggae icon Bob Marley, is an acclaimed musician in his own right, as well as a thriving cannabis entrepreneur. And now he just dropped $5.5 million on a six-bed, seven-bath stunner in Toluca Lake, CA. The beautiful, European-inspired home will have make you think you’ve ditched Los Angeles for Barcelona.

Built in 2007, the Spanish-style home is tucked behind walls and gates for completely privacy. A circular two-story foyer with a dramatic center hall featuring a dome ceiling welcomes guests, while wood plank and stone floors carry throughout the home. Intricate detailing continues through the formal rooms, while a screening room, library, wine cellar, and bar area provide plenty of space for entertaining guests. There are six fireplaces and two staircases throughout the home, as well as a sun-drenched chef’s kitchen and family room with walls of glass that open out to the backyard. The spa-inspired master suite features two fireplaces and a sprawling outdoor veranda, which looks out over the lush tree tops.

Outside, there’s a variety of tremendous living spaces, like a covered loggia, outdoor kitchen, meditation garden (with a giant buddha, natch) and a streaming courtyard fountain. A sparkling swimming pool and spa sit next to a rolling grass lawn, while a basketball court provides a great spot for shooting hoops with the family.

Ziggy clearly knows the Los Angeles real estate business, because he also has two longtime properties in the area he’d most likely make a bundle on if he chose to sell: a $3.1 million home in Beverly Hills, as well as a condo in West Hollywood.
