Ivanka Trumps The DC Real Estate Scene

With Dear Old Dad headed to the White House, Ivanka and Jared are moving to DC.

Ivanka Trump is prepping for her father’s reign in Washington. And you know what that means: a shiny new mansion in Washington, DC, for her family! That’s why Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, just snagged a $5.295 million mansion fit for a king and queen. While the couple are only renting the property, we’re guessing they’ll spend a lot of time here over the next four years.

Located in the Kalorama neighborhood in northwest DC, Ivanka’s sprawling 6,870-square-foot rental is a six-bed, seven-bath beauty. Originally built in 1923 by architect Waddy Wood, the property was recently renovated to maintain historic elements and add modern amenities. An open floor plan provides an inviting atmosphere, while contemporary details contribute elegant touches throughout. The mansion includes five wood-burning fireplaces, while a master suite with a luxe soaking tub and walk-in closets is the picture of presidential elegance. Ivanka’s got to have somewhere to hang those inauguration gowns!

With a lovely outdoor space that includes a patio and lush backyard, the new Kushner-Trump household is ready to host a high-powered house party or two. The Donald could always crash in a spare bedroom, but with 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. just 15 minutes away, we’d bet he’ll stay near the Oval Office.

The Kalorama neighborhood has housed many high-profile names, including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who just snagged a sprawling $23 million mansion here. Other residents have included multiple former presidents, such as Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover. Barack Obama will soon join that list when he heads to the Kalorama area with wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia after his term ends on January 20. We’re not predicting many backyard barbecues with the Kushner-Trump household, however.
