"Like: plenty of dogs to keep your dog engaged and socialized. Dislike: most dog owners do not pick up after their dogs. Occasionally may encounter an aggressive dog. Make sure your dog is leashed at all times. Building owners do not put down dog friendly ice melt. "

"In the summertime every year, we have the Italian festival the church and the neighborhood also has a yearly festival with the mother Saint. We also have carnivals so they block off the streets so the kids can come and enjoy themselves as well as the family people come from all over to enjoy the festivities and the neighborhood The streets are closed. There is a lot of cops in the neighborhood to make the area safe during the festivities and some move the festivities to Jefferson Park, which is only two blocks away. The neighborhood is changing for the better and it’s growing. it is a safe neighborhood to live. The people are always smiling very polite supermarkets and family owned. Restaurants are very lively at night time. The food is great. Everything is close by the transit MTA and the neighborhood is really quiet at night. nice place to live great neighborhood. what I also love about is that no one hangs out in front of the buildings no one is cooking out. The building is a very quiet. Everyone is respectful to each other’s neighbors because it’s a working community. and for the past couple of years, the neighborhood has been really safe and you can always find parking in the street whether it’s in your neighborhood on the same block or whether it’s on another avenue or even two blocks away the neighborhood is safe to walk to and from. I was born in this neighborhood. I grew up in this neighborhood and when I left, I ended up coming back and as of today, I am still looking for an apartment in this neighborhood. My work is in the city so I decided to come back to the neighborhood and enjoy and remember what I used to see when I was a kid."

  • G M Rakibul Hasan
"Isn’t not a good area to live in. People use traffic cone for holding parking spaces. Loud music and noise during weekday and weekends as well . "

  • Trulia User
"Heavy traffic. No place to park. Too many people around. Noise level increased with the constructions. Restricted areas for construction that are lasting over decades without an end. Prices of restaurants and markets are in an all-time high. Cost of living took off to the roof!"
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"Dog owners would be fine in this neighborhood. There are parks nearby and no one cares if you have a dog or not. "
  • Trulia User
"Many levels of public transportation MTA Subways, busses and Metro North Trains within 3-5 minute walking distance."
  • Trulia User
"Family n friends are it the best place to live and go shopping and have children go to school in the neighborhood "
  • Trulia User
"People look out for each other and take care of each other. There are often community events happening nearby - in parks, school yards, and gardens - where neighbors come together for a shared purpose or celebration. I have lived here for 17+ years and absolutely love it. "
  • Trulia User
"plenty of places to walk your dog. tons of parks. central park is probably the best place for dog walking "
  • Trulia User
"Nothing is unique in this area. You can’t even walk outside without smelling someone else smoking. Besides that the only good thing is neighbors do mind their business so you don’t worry much about noise complaints "
  • Trulia User
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for twenty years and I love it. Very friendly community. You know your neighbors and support each other."
  • Trulia User
"Tons of great parks and things to do for kids! public pool and playground is clutch! Really one of my favorite parts in New York. "
  • Trulia User
"The neighbourhood is ok but you have to be aware of your surroundings if you are really new to the area, the parks are clean it’s a dog heaven if you have a pet "
  • Trulia User
"there are dogs off leash very often. untrained and unruly. little tiny women walk dogs bigger than them with no discipline."
  • Trulia User
"Puerto Rican day parade, the 4th of July, thanksgiving,Easter, Christmas and every other event the neighborhood be having "
  • Trulia User
"Get home before dark and loud music is played and have packages delivered on days you’re home and good parks to go to are at 124 towards west side"
  • Ragnag S.
"Safety for their Kids, Schools Playgrounds parks hospitals specially Churches that will teach them real love and forgiveness "
  • Margarita .
"The neighborhood may not be the safest or cleanest of them all but the housing is affordable. There are stores on almost every corner and many super markets. You are close to the 6 train line and a few different buses like the M115 and BX99. You are close by the FDR highway so parking can sometimes be hard to find if you own a vehicle that is. But overall even though this place may not be ideal for you it’s a place to stay until you are able to afford for another place of your choice."
