1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBad if you have a handicapped child, I have 2 granddaughters there. They get harassed about many things, such as taking too long for the bathroom even though there's limited handicap accessibility to very few bathrooms, then get reprimanded when having taken to long.Parent Review8mo ago4 Reviews - Lincoln Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome teachers are effective, while others can be quite harsh. The students are often loud and use inappropriate language in the hallways, leading to frequent fights. I even witnessed ten kids attacking another student after school. Additionally, some teachers struggle to manage their classrooms; instead of addressing the yelling, they just stand by and watch.Other Review8mo ago7 Reviews - Salem Hyde Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSalem Hyde is an excellent school. My child has been there for two years. He is very bright and his needs for intellectual stimulation has been met with special accomodations created by the teachers just for my son. I believe this is a little gem in the City of Syracuse! We could have had our son attend the expensive private schools in the metropolitan area but we are glad that we chose to send our son to Salem Hyde; our son absolutely loves Salem Hyde!Parent Review11y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near 239 North Ave.

"Moved to the area 6 months ago. Very conveniently located, neighbors are friendly, and great space to walk the dog. Mostly well maintained homes and lawns and quiet enough yet lively enough to be appealing. "

"Neighbors are friendly yards are well-maintained for the most part I loved growing up here it is a great place to raise a family. It's an inner-city neighborhood with a suburb vibe hence "the village within the city"."

"I work downtown and it’s less than a ten minute drive to my parking garage. I honestly hate the walk from the garage more than the drive to work. This neighborhood is pretty centrally located, and we love being 10-15 minutes from downtown, Mattydale-North Syr., East Syracuse, SU campus & the East Side, Dewitt, etc."
