What Locals Say about Meadowbrook

  • Steve O.
"Well maintained. Dog owners usually pick up after their pets. I’d recommend living here. *************"
  • Maaf32
"The neighborhood 5k draws lot of people here. It is always heavily attended and patronized. The neighborhood yard sales are also a draw."
  • Maaf32
"Under 10 minutes with light to no traffic and 30 minutes with heavy traffic. Avoiding highway 280 is key in achieving a reasonable commute time. Learning alternative routes is a must for residents in this area to navigate around traffic at times. Between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. highway 280 is busy everyday except for Sundays. "
  • Maaf32
"Dog walkers are always out and the neighbors are welcoming to pet owners. There is a park nearby that is frequented by dog owners daily and has been a community hub for animal lovers within the community. There are many pet friendly eateries and bars in the area as well. "
  • Katemrenno
"Grew up here, raising my family here. Great neighborhood for families. Thanks for reading my comment. "
  • Katemrenno
"Great schools, family neighbors and great place to grown up. I grew up here and have moved back as an adult with my own family. "
  • Kerrilynn r.
"Not many safe places for kids to play. Pool and tennis courts out of order for some time. ............."
  • Pups c.
"They host resident appreciation events with free food and drinks and sometimes they have pool parties. "
  • Pups c.
"I drive about 15 minutes to work, 30 on a bad day, and I work in Pelham. So traffic is normal but not horrible. "
  • Pups c.
"I love the feeling that we are nestled away in the forest, and yet we are minutes from everything we need. "
  • Ronni S.
"I’ve lived here for three years. Schools are great and people are friendly. Traffic is terrible though. "
  • Natalie j. o.
"Beautiful brick houses surrounded by mature trees and filled with friendly neighbors. Great place to raise a family!"
  • "The area is right in between Hwy 280 and I-65 and Hwy 119 and Valleydale Rd. So, the location couldn't be more accessible. The community is friendly. The neighboord is wooded and private unlike many subdivisions nowadays... Parks, shopping, food, everything is within a few minute drive... Couldn't be happier with our decision."
  • "Meadowbrook is a great community that is safe and involved. In Oak Mountain school district and a good selection of churches. Close to 280 without the hassle and traffic."
  • Powersofc0
"I am living in this house and have raised my kids in the near-by community - excellent schools & churches, entertainment and shopping along with very short distance to Oak Mountain State Park."
  • "Meadow Brook is a charming community. There are far more positives than negatives. The traffic on Meadow Brook Road is horrific. There needs to be a couple of speed bumps coming over the hill. I fear a serious accident will occur. People speed & are often distracted zooming over the hill. The other issue is that there seems to be a large amount of drug usage in the high school and in the neighborhood. This makes me extremely nervous. There are always notices from the school. We have also picked up suspicious items when going on walks in the neighborhood. It's disturbing to see things like that in an upscale area. Law enforcement & parents should do more. Other than that, it's like waking up to a dream."
