What Locals Say about Horseshoe Park

  • Mystique_ayir_shadow@yahoo.com
"it's not the most safe area. cops are frequently patrolling the greenbelt at night behind my house. gunshots are not unheard of."
  • Matthew K.
"Paths lots of parks and paths lots of dogs on paths around parks and animals parks paths animals dogs like"
  • Lisa H.
"We have a park which includes a playground and baseball field. We are also connected to a huge walking trail with small streams and bridges. My family loves the structure of this area as each street has a dead-end, so very little through traffic."
  • Nick W.
"There are playgrounds for kids, but you still have an area for playing baseball. There are trails for walking, biking, and jogging. It's a pretty area."
  • Lisa H.
"I see lots of dogs in the area, on a leash with owners all the time. The park is dog friendly with lots of signage for owners to pick up after their pets. I think most people follow those rules. It's a quiet neighborhood, but I do hear dogs barking from time to time."
  • Nick W.
"It takes me half an hour to get to work. Easy to get around to places."
  • Lisa H.
"This is one of the best things for me. We are within 3-6 blocks of everything from groceries, gas, fast food, restaurants, several auto repair shops, and stores. We have movie theaters, indoor and outdoor mall shopping, and highway access within 1-3 miles of our home. I really love the convenience of everything, saves a lot of drive time."
  • Lisa H.
"I've raised five children in this area, three of which are still living at home. We have Elementary, Middle and High Schools within 1-2 miles of our location. The schools are very supportive and well managed. My children have friends throughout the neighborhood, very family oriented community. We've never had a problem with any of the other families here. We also have three police officers living in the area which makes us feel a little more secure."
  • Nick W.
"Watch for wildlife -- whether it is deer moving through the park or the occasional snakes around the water."
  • Elizabeth S. M.
"Really beautiful surroundings and easy access to transportation, resturaunts, and shopping. "
