"I spent 29 years growing up in the Highlands. I love every minute of it. I walked to school, church, and friends’ houses. I only left the area to move in with my fiancé. But every day, I think about what I would do to move back here. "
  • Giuseppe A.
"Trolley Square is a beautiful area to live, work or even start a family. This area has many great amenities and will be a key area to invest in the near future. "
  • Cem001coll
"I lived in the Highlands for 28 years and loved every minute of it. Growing up, I walked to school, church, playground, grocery store, after school job, friends’ houses, and restaurants. As a young adult living with my parents, I walked to work, bars, and enjoyed taking public transportation to school. Neighbors I grew up hanging out with from the Highlands were guests at my sister’s wedding. "
  • Valencia B.
"My neighborhood has access to public transportation during rush hours it is a little busy on my street but there is never bad traffic. There is also a lot of businesses in walking distance. "
  • Julien M. U.
"Neighbors are nice but don’t invade your space. Great parks especially for dogs at Rockford park and other nearby river walks. Unfortunately I pick up a lot of broken glass along the way and my dogs have cut their paws on trails along the river where the old train track used to run. People come and have their graduation pictures taken in the Gibraltar estate and unfortunately some leave their trash in our bushes and sidewalks. Take your trash with you! "
  • Julien M. U.
"Lived here for a year. Met neighbors on several occasions and events but still we’re all pretty much private living in detached houses. Quite, safe neighborhood with parks nearby. "
  • "Love this street. Have friends that live here and this has such neighborhood vibe-people get to know and help each other. Friend was sick and neighbor mowed and watered her lawn without even asking. Beautiful yards - tons of flowers. "
  • "The Highlands is a beautiful historic neighborhood, with lots to offer its residents.... Rockford Park, The Delaware Art Museum, great local eateries and shopping.... This is a safe and family friendly community...."
  • "The Highlands area of Wilmington, Delaware is a great area for singles, couples, families or retirees. The neighborhood is safe and friendly. The neighbors frequently hold neighborhood gatherings and there is a wonderful dog park with a walking path along the river two blocks away. "
