What Locals Say about Riverside/Normal City

  • Trulia User
"We don’t have any. I wouldn’t consider this a “neighborhood”. No one is really friendly. Not on my street anyway. "
  • Jordan
"It’s a college town, but as long as you’re not too prudey (which I don’t mean in a bad way) it is a great place to live. You probably will have the occasional outside noises but it’s safe and the college kids are overall very friendly and considerate of home owners in the area. "
  • "this neighborhood is home for ball state students. down riverside there are a lot of homes available for rent and own. "
  • Lynn1384
"It’s a college town but is still a great town. I’ve never had problems with it being too loud unless you live by Greek row. People are very nice and I always feel safe. The shootings lately have all been from the same house on riverside and they are moving out, that house is up for rent now. "
  • Madison C.
"This is a college town and it’s very obvious when you get here. Very loud area, with constant partying, constant crime, and many shootings a year. I honestly can’t wait to leave this area. "
  • J_l_biddle
"There’s a dog park nearby and lots of places to walk your pup. Most of the time there are quite a few dogs at the dog park. "
  • Trulia User
"I’ve lived here for like 2 years it’s really nice. Occasional weird activity but nothing bad or off the wall. Lots of college kids for sure. "
  • Landon T.
"I've lived in Muncie for a couple of years. It's a very different place and unique community. A little weird. We call the locals, "Mocals". Muncie Locals."
