What Locals Say about Bay Village

  • Heather E. R.
"There is a small dog run off Charles St. South. There is a larger one in the South End not too far away. I’d say it is dog friendly."
  • Jmull2
"I love how many dogs there are. There is lots of parks and dog parks. Such a beautiful area and walkable. "
  • Lisa B.
"Easy to walk to lots of restaurants and shopping, not a very residential neighborhood but it is a great location for young people "
  • Jmull2
"Accessibility and sites. I love being in the middle of everything. Lots of great restaurants and activities. Close to the common "
  • Ggfurtado18
"In the middle of the city and very quiet and safe! Great neighborhood association. Easy on street parking."
  • Jillian O. C.
"After living here for almost five years, I can whole-heartedly say that Bay Village is an awesome neighborhood. You can walk to the Public Garden in 5 minutes, to restaurants in the South End in 5 minutes and there are lots of area parks, recreation and nightlife beyond close to this neighborhood. It is a like a quiet little gem amongst a bustling city. As for cleanliness, I can say it's one of, if not THE cleanest in the city. Literally one of our regular trash collectors told me that Bay Village is the neatest and cleanest neighborhood of them all, "the neighbors take such great care of it". I think that's pretty impressive to hear. Also, on-street parking is rarely an issue, we usually park within a two minute walk of our house if not direclty around the corner or in front. If you're lucky enough to be one of the few that spends anytime of your life to live in this gem, then consider yourself lucky and visit Mike & Patty's often...best little sandwich shop in town. "
