What Locals Say about Parkade

  • Trulia User
"Parkade Park is close by but people speed through the neighborhood so little ones and pets should not be unattended. "
  • Susan C.
"Safe streets, many families, low crime, sidewalks, pet friendly, close to mall and grocery stores, fast access to Conley shopping area, low rated elementary school, better middle and high schools"
  • Rosie G. .
"Great neighborhood with a dog park and elementary school. Houses have large backyards and there are large trees. "
  • Brittany K.
"There are a few sidewalks for safe walking with dogs. And traffic is generally kept to a minimum, and slow moving. "
  • Julie N.
"Hard to get unless you’re walking and in the winter that curve and hill is treacherous You can get taxi or a ride share program or pay a neighbor gas money to take you"
  • Brianafrieda
"Dog owners would love the wooded area of the Parkade neighborhood, being close to an elementary school there are also big open spaces to run around and play fetch. There is a great little open park (Parkade Park) and a dog park further down Garth, plus the nature trails all over! "
  • April F.
"Great quite neighborhood, lots of sidewalks for walking, bike friendly as well as this neighborhood isn't one that anyone would pass through to get anywhere else. People frequently walk their dogs, strollers, ride bikes in this area. I have no trouble letting my kids wander to a friends house a few blocks away as I always feel safe. If you want an area where you know your neighbors this is a great one. There are many longer term residents in the area, and when looking at crime maps this is one of the few places that rarely has ANY activity. Being close to COSMO park for soccer, football, baseball, walking and playground play is a huge plus. Now that my kids are older they can easily bike to their games if needed. Approximately 10 minutes to hospitals, the mall, university. We absolutely LOVE West middle school and my kids are very much looking forward to Hickman High School"
