  • Mckomer

  • Richardgolden169
"Hhk is a slaynation town we are a squad and all the citizens have a splendid time together! Schools treat and all too"
  • Joe F.
"I have lived here for 20 years and raised kids. The size of the town makes for easy living. One school k-8 so only one pick up and drop off for different age kids.Train station where you can always get parking.People maintain their homes and downtown is charming."
  • Dawn B.
"I Love living in Ho-Ho-Kus! Drive north on Route 17 in Bergen County beyond the bustling shopping area of Paramus, and suddenly everything becomes much more serene. Welcome to Ho-Ho-Kus, a charming little town in New Jersey out of the lime light, and just far enough away from its busier neighbors. And that’s just fine with our residents in our borough, thank you very much! :) This affluent hamlet, with its mixture of Stately homes, Victorian style Colonials, smaller Capes and Splits, is commitment to education, has relatively palatable taxes and la ow crime rate, making it the number 1 town in New Jersey Monthly’s 2011 Top Towns survey. With only 4,078 residents here, we enjoy the experience of living in a small town, with the benefit of an easy commute to Manhattan and easy access to our local restaurants, in addition to the restaurants and shopping of larger neighboring towns—especially Ridgewood to the west. And while real estate prices are tanking in the rest of the State, the Ho-Ho-Kus market has remained strong, with the median home price increasing 7.8 percent between 2007 and 2010. Further more, the median property tax bill for Ho-Ho-Kus residents decreased in the 2007-to-2010 period. Established in 1698, this historic town has no shortage of charisma, with tree-lined streets, large yards, a town green with a gazebo, and a small but lively downtown shopping district. Plus Ho-Ho-Kus maintains its bucolic appeal despite straddling busy Route 17. We are happy with our town the way it is, no major super markets causing traffic, just enough amenities which are right on our door step, and a huge community feel. Every year we enjoy our Ducky Derby, Parades and Movie nights. No wonder our real estate sells so quickly, there is usually a waiting list of people trying to buy homes in town. "

  • Donna C.
"poorly run town, terrible traffic issues. Not a safe walk to school. No place for young children or teenagers to "hang out" Good school system. Nice restaurants. but no parking. "
  • Marlene L.
"I think this is a very nice area to live and work. It has great walking ability to all the shops and eateries. the town is quite with a very comfortable feeling. I love it and want to live here."
