    "Thiells is a great place for young families. Good schools, great parks, a lot of community activities if you seek them out. Proximity to state parks and Hudson River offers great opportunities for outdoor activities. Decent proximity to NYC, but not an easy commute. "

    "Public transportation is lacking in Rockland in general. There is a ferry from Haverstraw to Ossining, which is nice way to travel to the city. Otherwise, you have to travel to Pearl River or Suffern to catch a train."

    "I rented in Thiells for almost 3 years and was planning to buy a house when my job made me move to San Jose (CA). I miss Thiells-Stonypoint,specially the quaintness.I used to own a BMW M3(little loud exhaust) and always felt guilty when i drove past the houses as i was messing up the silence ."
