What Locals Say about Woodlands of Camino Real

  • "It is lovely to walk in and live in with beautiful mature trees on large lots. Owls, hawks, doves and many other birds make their home here too. We get a few deer, and other wildlife too. The neighbors take pride in their homes and yards. The home values speak to the value of this little gem of a neighborhood. It is a very nice mix of families, empty nesters and retirees too. It is less than 10 minutes to the airport but it is not under the flight path. Close to 281 and Bitters and also the Walker Ranch Park and the new Wurzbach Pkwy. It is very quiet and peaceful. This neighborhood has a very low crime rate. There is very little traffic through the neighborhood. The area does not suffer from the traffic hassles that bog down the NW/ 1604 and Stone Oak areas. The homes are generally older; built in the 80s, but they don’t make new homes like this anymore. They usually have some Saltillo tile, lots of wood, high ceilings, built-ins, some step downs etc, but most are updated or being updated. The homes all look different. They are not cookie-cutter homes. If you live here you know - this is a very special and desirable neighborhood. "
