    "Great place to raise kids with country feel but close to Olympia, Lacey, JBLM, Yelm, shopping, dining, etc. Rainier has no police department, Thurston County Sheriff’s office is the responding agency. Also has no bar. "

    "Small town. Everything within walking distance if you are in town. Quiet, great place to live. Commute to Tumwater is 25 mins., Tacoma 45 mins, JBLM 25 mins, Centralia 35 mins. "

    "I work close and there is never traffic. Just the occasional school bus. The roads are well maintained. Downtown is 25 miles an hour and nicely slow paced for safety. There is one road through rainier. There are usually only a few cars on the road while driving "
