Stan Lee’s newest real estate offering is “for the birds.” Literally. We’ve learned exclusively that the Marvel maestro, known for creating Spider-Man, has just listed a five-bed, seven-bath Hollywood Hills home on one of the coveted “Bird Streets” for $5 million.
But the real question is: Is the life-sized Spider-Man statue shown in the listing photos included in the sale?
Lee purchased the 4,963-square-foot beauty back in 2012 for $3.4 million. A sun-filled home that embodies the idea of California cool, it features a gourmet kitchen that flows out into a garden patio. Vaulted ceilings provide a spacious ambiance, while floor-to-ceiling windows show off the beauty of this Hollywood Hills location, right off Sunset Strip.
On the second floor, the huge master suite has his/her marble baths and separate walk-in closets with built-in cabinetry, a fireplace, and corner windows that afford a hilltop-to-city-to-ocean view, which would be a hit with any Spider-Lady.
Perfectly private for a superhero-in-training, the home also features multiple patios, wine storage, and two home offices. A saltwater pool is the perfect draw for entertaining guests, who can stay in the guest suite featuring a private bath and powder room. (But that’s really more Aquaman’s type of thing.)
Lee, who recently showed off his heart of gold by gifting a young boy with autism a custom sketch of Spider-Man on his birthday, also owns a two-bed, three-bath home in nearby West Hollywood. The 2,897-square-foot home has been in Lee’s possession for a long time.
Back in December, Lee picked up a contemporary-style pad off Sunset Strip for a cool $4.4 million. This luxurious home, which has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms, also features such amenities as a remodeled chef’s kitchen, formal dining room, professional-grade movie theater, and expansive floor plan.
Just before that purchase, Lee sold his other Hollywood Hills pad for $2.8 million. The four-bed, six-bath gated home situated on a cul-de-sac was originally listed for $3.7 million but eventually sank all the way down to $2.8 mil — sometimes Spidey-Sense isn’t enough to make a killing on the real estate market.
