"Nice community with low city traffic; low crime; great library, good medical facilities and quiet neighborhoods. Lacking in shopping; entertainment, hiking/biking trails; no public transportation, winter street maintenance."
  • presurpt
"Several of the businesses here have closed there doors. The schools are fairly modern with grades 0-12. There are a few nice parks, and housing costs are lower than it's nearby neighbor "Spokane" which is about a 30 minute drive. If you don't work here, the drive can be somewhat of a burden in the Winter's. The Deer Park Hospital has closed, it has been rumored that several of the medical clinics are having troubles and may be closing soon including Inland Imaging. Rosauers grocery store has closed leaving one major player in town (Yokes). Groceries & Gas can be found in Spokane much cheaper if one commutes that way. "
