  • Alejandro A.
"It is still a little bit Country we love it we hope it does not change or it will take waway from what La Porte is truly. It is made up of an older generation but that is where it gits its character. We hope to make plenty of wonderful memories with our kids for years to come. "
  • Amanda C.
"If you live on the numbered streets, good luck! It floods when it rains, loud music on the weekends, fights break out and lots of drugs in the area. "
  • Brenda T.
"My in laws have lived her for over 12 years, for the 2 years visiting to now living here it is one of the safest places I have ever lived. "

  • Jennybvictor13
"La Porte is a growing city that has maintained some of that “small town” feel. My husband and I grew up here, both moved away and then returned to raise our family. "
  • Amanda C.
"Streets are dark in some areas, watch out for people speeding through school zones, loud music and engines revving some weekend nights, pizza places wont deliver to certain areas after dusk due to crime, but cops and emergency personnel arrive pretty fast. La Porte is becoming a warehouse zone, so traffic is horrible now. "
  • Amanda C.
"If you live by The Jenni Reid Community Center good luck having peace and quiet on the weekends. Someone is always revving their motorcycle, always someone fighting outside or trying to start a fight, cars dont slow down in school zones so watch your kids. "
  • Ellie J.
"This neighborhood has a ton of first responders living here. It is a quiet, friendly neighborhood with working people and active families. "
  • Pjkirkley
"It seems to be a neighborhood that makes sure people take care of their dogs. And some pick up after them but not everyone "
  • Dave

  • Madelynn
"Not a lot goes on. There are La Porte events, but nothing in our neighborhood or anything that brings us closer to our neighbors. "
  • Mike
"La Porte is a city with a mandated court of record. We don’t get hassled by police and everyone minds their own business. We know our neighbors and we look out for one another."
  • Jhayers1996
"We have a very nice pond next to our track. It's very relaxing later in the evening. Can't really say anything negative, except our home owners association."
  • Toni L. R.
"It’s directly across from the bay and a county park. There are lots of visitors to our area so it is great for people watching and exciting to live in especially during festivals."
