"Southington is a great place to grow up and raise a family no matter what stage you’re at. It’s a very accessible town and lots of privacy while still getting plenty of options of stores you can get to quickly and easily. I’d recommend parents always watch their children anywhere because the world is nuts everywhere but I’ve never felt unsafe or anything negative about living here. Again…. "We have apple harvest festival in the fall right here downtown and its very easy to walk to. There are lots of restaurants and bars as well as music on the green throughout the summer."

"Dog owners would like that there is a dog park nearby and a walking trail. There is also plenty of sidewalks to walk your dog on and most of the houses have big yards."

"Town does live music on the green every Wednesday. The town pools are free to residents. On the green, they also have farmer’s markets. And of course there is the annual Apple Festival. "
