8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe new principal, Mr Corley is an amazing principal. The staff has always been very helpful. My child enjoys going to school. They have so many different classes for students to choose them as they go up in grade. All of the teachers that I have met have been great and truly want to help the kids succeed. There are also so many groups and clubs for the kids to participate in. They keep parents in the loop and involved. I love going to the Friday night football games and hearing the amazing band.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - Fontainebleau Junior High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy autistic child is currently enrolled at Mandeville Elementary. Scenes his enrollment, I have received weekly negative reports about my son. Also, my autistic son has not been able to attend a single field trip. The day before or even the day of a field trip I will get a call from the school that he is being to difficult and has to go home/ stay home. I will also get calls to pick him up, not because he has a fever or he is sick in any way, but becaUse he’s tired. This school is not equipped in anyway shape or form. In fact they believe his stemming is a form of attention seeking.Other Review2mo ago8 Reviews - Lake Harbor Middle School

"I do not commute daily. However there is no public transport and no safe spaces to walk or bike to commute. Finding medical care is difficult unless you have access to top insurance plans. Public transportation is voted down to keep out those that do not have cars."

"There are no sidewalks. At all. Anywhere. You have to walk your dog in the street, with all these people driving their bro-dozers that can’t see what’s happening right in front of their vehicles. "

"I’ve visited this neighborhood on and off for four years. It had lovely historic areas as well as newer subdivisions. Some restaurants are world class. It’s a nice distance from New Orleans but just close enough to it for a fun night on the town. It has excellent public schools."

"I drive across the lake to get to work. There is very little traffic and the causeway is very well maintained. I receive text and email alerts about construction, accidents and other possible delays. "

"People here in Mandeville WILL give anyone with a pit bull, pit bull mix and breeds like the American Bully, a nasty look and/or comment. Be prepared but other than that, it’s fine having dogs here. Great dog park here in Mandeville too!"

"There are many loose dogs that may excite your dog and cause them to run off into the wilderness. Other than that it is a safe neighborhood for a well behaved dog"

"My neighborhood is very close to the interstate so it is easy to hop on and go East or west. Less the 10 minutes from the causeway in order to go to New Orleans."

"Not ideal. Causeway bridge for commute gets old after 10+ years of doing it 5 days per week. If you’re and 8-5, traffic is slow towards Jefferson Hwy."

"The commute to New Orleans is long and tedious. Traffic, construction and drawbridge activity hinder flowing traffic. If commuting to the south shore I suggest moving to the south shore."

"Like that most people have dogs and are dog lovers. Not like that people really do pay attention to whether you clean up after your pup. May also not like that pups are not welcome in the common areas."
