"Look at crime maps and avoid those areas at night. Some subdivisions are not safe to walk in at night. Otherwise fine."

"There are several parks and I see people walking their dogs in the neighborhood frequently. Not all of the streets have sidewalks, though. "

"Close to everything, perfect location to live to access mall, downtown, freeway/connector. Close to parks, schools, shopping. Love this classic established Boise location, clean, quiet, safe & just a simple neighborhood to live in."

"Walking distance to parks and schools. Mature trees and a variety of architecture make this neighborhood very desirable. Short drive to to Connector to take you downtown or out of town. Many different restaurants to choose from in all price ranges. Bike friendly neighborhood."

"I lived in the Winstead Park area when my children were young. We loved Koelsch elementary and the neighborhood as a whole. This area sits within the Capital Water District which is a separate water system that is around $15.00/month in the winter and $29/month in the summer for ALL of your water, inside and out. Homes in this neighborhood have exceptionally green, mature landscaping with lots of big trees and the homes are very well kept. Winstead park has a great picnic area, large walking path and playground and they allow dogs to be off-leash. This location is about 10-12 minutes to downtown plus 10 minutes to the mall, 5 minutes to the freeway. There are a lot of original owners but also many young families and singles in this neighborhood for a nice intergenerational mix. It has one of the highest owner-occupancy rates in the city. "

"This apartment complex was satisfactory until I became temporarily disabled. The buildings are 100% NOT handicap accessible, nor is the property manager willing to work with someone who becomes disabled. In addition to that major downfall, I reported broken glass on our sidewalk in front of our complex, months later -- it was still there. The steps and lawn are also covered in cigarette butts. Not the kind of environment, nor treatment of residents that I would recommend to anyone. "
