What Locals Say about Southern Hills

  • Flomostufio
"We have the beautiful San Bruno Mountain for hiking and dog walking. Bart is nearby, and Westlake shopping center has everything you need. We are 15 minutes from the Beach, 15 minutes to S.F. and 15 minutes to Burlingame. There is very little crime and it’s clean "
  • Joyah Joyah
"Not everyone pick up after their dog. Cayotes are around. It’s good for walking dogs as it’s relatively quiet. "
  • Md8n4nbdc9
"Quiet neighborhood, great parking on most streets, still feel safe when visiting family, and most neighbors look out for each other."
  • Flomostudio
"We have a neighborhood association and a newsletter. We have regular meetings at the local school, and we have engagements with the DCPD and the local fire department. We know our neighbors. "
  • Flomostudio
"Southern Hills backs up to a huge protected area, the San Bruno Mountain State Park.you can walk your dog along the paths and past homes that line the area. Lots of nature, trees and fun spots for dogs to rummage and smell and loads of other dogs. It’s like having a huge private park in your neighborhood."
  • Amanda D.
"Crocker Park is dangerous at night. I was born and raised in Crocker Amazon. It is over crowded. No parking on the street. Neighbors don’t talk to each other like they used to. "
  • Flomostudio
"We have a neighborhood Association, that is not mandatory, but keeps us all on top of important matters. Our police Dept is very very available to us, and come to meetings and always offer assistance immediately. We have very low crime and the neighborhood is very clean. "
  • Flomostudio
"Super close to San Francisco and fast access to the. I’d Peninsula as well . I think it’s the best spot to get to either county easily. Takes 10 minutes either way. Love it. Plus close to beaches off John Daly and Pacifica. I can access hot or cold weather either direction!"

"We have a neighborhood association the Southern Hills Association. We have meetings frequently about all the new things going on in the neighborhood. City officials come and talk to us. We get involved in politics and even gardening the neighborhood. A great place to live! "
  • Flomostudio
"Gorgeous San Bruno Mt State Park. Wildlife. Peaceful. Safe. Yet right down the hill is San Francisco. Neighborhood schools just for this area and everyone knows each other. "
  • Flomostudio
"We have the best Parks and open nature reserves on the Mountain. Very quiet and very safe. Close to the city but away from the noise, dirt, traffic and parking problems and crime of the city. "

"It’s peaceful and we have wonderful views of the SF skyline! We have coyotes that wander the neighborhood but they don’t bother anyone."
  • buzzardjazz
"Quiet and safe mini-neighborhood of about 120 homes. Adjacent to Southern Hills. West of South Hill Blvd, is the Crocker-Amazon district. East of South Hill Blvd. is the Crocker-Amazon Highlands. Really the foothills of San Bruno Mtn. "
  • "Lived in the neighborhood for 10 years. Safe, clean, friendly. View of Ocean, Bay and 5 counties. San Bruno Park with miles of trails just blocks away. Built on a solid mountain - survived all SF earthquakes since the 60s with NO cracks. Easy parking."
