  • Stephanie Gail Anderson
"People don’t pick up their dogs poop despite the city providing bags and cans. Also some still let their dogs off leash. "

  • Stephanie S.
"It's quiet and I feel safe here although the apartment complex I live in is not maintained. But there are a lot of ammenties close by and just a minute from the interstate. "

"I have lived in other parts of Johnson County and I believe Merriam is superior to Overland Park and most other suburbs. It's close to downtown and the Plaza and easy access to the airport. It's moderately priced and in my view the best value for the money for single-family home!"
  • Maria K
"Not many places to walk your dog; no dog park. There are good vets and pet hotels in the area. Some dog owners do not do a good job of picking up after their dogs. "
  • Lntku96
"It takes 15-20 minutes to drive to downtown KCMO from Merriam. I-35 is the main way to get downtown, but Shawnee Mission Parkway is a good route to get to places like Westport or the Plaza in 15-20 minutes."
  • Guyhoward g.
"I love my neighborhood. I like the diversity in the neighborhood and in the schools. The City does an excellent job of maintaining the streets. "
  • Tiffany C.
" I see people walking dogs all the time. There is also a park within walking distance that has a doggy water fountain."

  • Jonelleowens
"Our neighbors knew everything about everyone and noticed if anything was not right or out of place. Our 3 surrounding neighbors had all lived in their homes for 15+ years. It’s a safe place to live with children. "
  • Susan C.
"Great location, affordable housing, excellent schools, close to shopping, highways and restaurants. The best of all worlds in this coveted, quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to Antioch Park."
