"I’ve lived in this neighborhood since 2006 and I love it here very nice and friendly neighbors. Soulard Market is full of vendors on Saturday and the food choices are endless. There is a different place to try every day of the week. "
  • Ceo K.
"I lived here for 5 years and I hate it. It's too many car thefts and too much gun violence. If it was more quite, less violence, and less theft I wouldn't consider moving."
  • Ashley Y.
"It’s very French inspired and close to pretty much everything. Many restaurants, sports venues, nightlife, etc are only a short Uber ride or drive away."
  • Nobody S.
"Walking distance to Soulard, Busch stadium and Scottrade, with all the amenities of home and a (practically) downtown location."
  • Benvolz
"Hello, I have lived in the area for 13 years and its has been a great place to live, crime is low, you can walk anywhere downtown, and everyone in the area is friendly with great neighbors. So overall I would highly reccomend this property too anyone that wants to live downtown."
  • "We just recently moved away from this area and were willing to take a hit to get out -sadly, no regrets either. I'm only taking a minute to provide a simple personal opion. The take home is there are some neat areas to live close to downtown that have a much greater sense of pride and desire to improve and sustain success than this area. No one really cares around this area which is fine but there are places where residents do. Crime is noticably escalated and community is deteriorating instead of improving (sadly not even slightly). I've been a city dweller my whole life and am pretty used to the circumstances that surround that life; however, we were just tired of getting robbed and as violent crime has emerged more it is advised to just admit defeat and bail. Not that we cared but the school system is terrible and has not shown the slightest hint of improvement in the 10 years we lived there either. This is just honest perspective to help others avoid a mistake we made. Overall the area has noticable fallen in the wrong direction and I feel will continue as such indefinitely. There are much better areas, such a Central West End, etc. that I would recommend considering over this area if you want to be proximal to the "city.""
