What Locals Say about Hansville

  • John Koppel
"Great trails for dog walking. Good open space and parks for dogs to get exercise. I believe this is an amazing place for dogs."
  • Jesse J
"Trees on surrounding Pope and Talbot properties are being clear-cut on a 40 year rotation. I'm in support of working forests, but the clear cutting comes with impacts such wholesale disturbance of the creatures that inhabit these lands causing them to flee into surrounding neighborhoods, toxic herbicide spraying applications from air by helicopter and on the ground and increased, erosive rain runoff from cut land into streams."
  • Al C.
"Driftwood Key- Very quiet area- Club House and Swimming Pool 1/2 mile away. Beautiful view of Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains. Fire station within 2 miles. Fire hydrant across street from house. No big trees on lot, no leaves/gutter problems. School buses come right by home on Hood Canal Drive. Grocery store, Church, auto repair shop and Post Office three miles away in Hansville. Town of Kingston eight miles away and Ferry to Edmonds is 10 1/2 miles.from home. "
  • Landlw
"This is a small community suitable for singles, young families, and retired folks. It's location on the Kitsap Peninsula affords quick and convenient access to all sorts of outdoor activities ... away from the big city to be considered "rural," yet close enough to enjoy big city life as well. Salmon fishing is good in season, and a boating trip to the San Juan Islands is short in terms of distance. It is a boater's and fisherman's delight."
