What Locals Say about Santa Fe

  • Cookseydavetta
"The trees are one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The neighborhood has been really good and nice people here "
  • Cookseydavetta
"The Victoria style houses, and the big yards that they have. The sounds of peace when sitting on porch"
  • Shannon N.
"Center High around the corner and when school lets out a lot of little disrespectful students are walking to wherever causing mischief "
  • "The widely held perception of our neighborhood is plain wrong. Santa Fe Place 27th to Linwood / Prospect to Indiana is a great place to live. Great neighbors, very little crime, walkable, beautiful housing stock, peaceful and quiet. Sure there are many properties and lots that need to be re-built but they take a back seat to the majority of houses that are well kept. The properties sell for so little that it will not be long before the young starting out realize they can own large homes for next to nothing and there will be a shortage of available properties. It may take 5 years but then all of the houses will rise to substantial value. The architectural features of the individual houses rival any in Hyde Park or the Old Northeast,. The residents are friendlier; and more willing to be helpful then my 10 year experience of living in Mission Hills. Driving downtown, the River Market or Westport takes just 8 minutes. Driving to I435 and Metcalf takes 20 min. The Plaza 10 minutes. This is a great central location I would recommend."
  • "This is a wonderful neighborhood with unique architecture, friendly neighbors who work together to get the word out how nice it is here while at the same time making it even better. Living here is much like living in a small friendly town."
