What Locals Say about Yorkshire

"Take your time. Lots of traffic means leaving earlier than usual. Don’t make your being late everyone’s problem. "

"Not far from 28 and I-66. Good feeling of community here. Quiet. A lot of amenities nearby. Grocery shopping, and Manassas Park Community Center is very close. Great pool, gym, basketball courts, racquetball, outside park and dog park. "

"my commute is worst getting out of mannassas. there's 2 way to get out on the 28 side, but they both wind up on 28 in order to get to 66."

"We have at least once a month get togethers alternating between our homes and it usually is outside by the different fire pits. If one of us doesn’t have a firepit we all just hang out and catch up in the backyard or even inside. We also have a small Facebook group for the neighborhood so that we know who’s house it’s at or for any more important information to be discussed like power outages, police presence in terms of why they were there, lost animals that have been found, and other important as well as fun ideas or questions to build the community bond."

"Halloween is great, lots of people get involved in its success in this neighborhood. Lots of people decorate, some more then others, for Christmas. Fireworks go off until 2am for the 4th of July. Good luck with being able to have access to the visitor spots, cars are regularly rotated to ensure only an handful of people get them. They tow nightly, they tow those that are in the visitor spots too long and those who’s vehicles are not entirely legal (dead tags or inspection stickers). I’ve lived here for 6 years and while its not the safest community, short walks after dark shouldn’t pose as a problem to your health and wellbeing - probably wouldn’t take long strolls however. Cops are in the neighborhood regularly but they are keeping an eye on “traffic” rather then anything else it seems. If you aren’t of interest to them then they won’t bother you. The HOA used to be great and they plowed very quick, this has gone downhill dramatically though - you’ll be lucky if they get to plowing the day after it snows. I, personally, haven’t been the victim of theft or violence in any way by any of the neighbors of this neighborhood but it is a bad neighborhood just the same. Just stay to yourself and nobody will bother you nor your family."

"No dogs allowed in the Orchard Bridge apartment community. They only allow cats with a monthly pet rent."

"Area are really good when it comes to parks and playgrounds. However, public schools have a very low ratings. Also, traffic during rush hour on Rt 28 is one of the worst."

"EXCELLENT COMMUTER LOCATION. NEAR MAJOR HIGHWAYS, VRE STATION, FAIRFAX COUNTY, PARKS, AND LIBRARIES. QUIANT NEIGHBORHOOD WITH MANY AMENITIES SUCH AS CLUBHOUSE, SWIMMING POOLS, TOT LOTS, AND COURTS. 2600 SF TOWNHOUSE ACCOMMODATES SMALL, MEDIUM, AND LARGE SIZED FAMILIES. MUST SEE!"

"i live here for 6 years 3 months.. comes in yorkshire. quite community especially quail hollow with all of the TH has great spaces. nice parks & green trail ways. compared to manassass park this area way way better & quiter. No crime issues or sirens. This area is almost 20 feet away from Centreville ( a fairfax county border) if you cross the road, you will enter in to centreville, where the TH are much costly in rent. This area TH is comparatively cheaper almost equivalent to living on other side of Fairfax county which is couple blocks away. Schools are good especially elementary is brand new just near the 7/11. I don't know about highschool. Parking is little chaotic but if you have community passess, you will have no prob. I love this community & won't go anywhere.. everything is minute access from this area. "
